The first two of a series of auctions will soon take place for Saabs at ports in the United States. Ally Financial obtained a court judgment to the cars after Saab missed payments on the cars. About 900 Saabs have been in storage in Newark (near New York), Port Hueneme (near Santa Barbara, California), and Brunswick, Georgia. There are a few cars in other locations, including a few in Sweden.

Today is the United States Army's 237th birth day. On 14 June 1775 the Continental Army was established, before the creation of the United States, to meet the demands of the Revolutionary War. In 3 June 1784 the United States Army was officially created by the Congress, and it has its roots on the Continental Army.
Never mind the politics that move the Army and what it does for the United States Government.
Now that NEVS is set to own the Saab car company and plans to build a 9-3 electric car while it develops a car based on the Phoenix platform, a look at the past may give hints of the future.

I spent a good time this afternoon washing, waxing and detailing the C900. As soon as I finished the light overcast day opened up into a glorious sunny summer day. Time to go for a drive!
