Saabs official picture from 1976
The other day I found a very interesting project thread on the Swedish saab club forum, its about the royal Saab 99 limousine that took the Swedish king Carl XVI around in the states on the official state visit in 1976.
I'm currently in the middle of a short little vacation. We came down from my home in northern Bavaria to Garmisch, on the border with Austria, and on the foot of Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany.

I spent a good time this afternoon washing, waxing and detailing the C900. As soon as I finished the light overcast day opened up into a glorious sunny summer day. Time to go for a drive!
Since the car was as clean as it will ever be I didn't want bugs smashing in the glass and paint, I took it easy, drove slow and enjoyed the warm air.

That EXTRA button turns the radiator fan on manually, and that red light to the left will light up when activated

My last day on the ferry from Alaska started early, I woke up at 5:30 am to shower and get ready to drive off.
