New pictures of the Saab 93 designed by Castriota

A few new and great quality pictures of the Saab 93 designed by Jason Castriota surfaced on a Danish website. Better pictures make the design much more attractive to look at compared to the earlier pictures we have seen.

The design of this new Saab received many critical responses. Some think the design is a great combination of older Saab details combined with the Saab Phoenix Concept car. Others may think the lines don't really work together and there is too much retro design. We will leave it up to the reader to decide so please share your thoughts in the comments.

Saab Parts and Saab Cars internet domain names

The saab.com domain always was the home for Saab Automobile AB and was recently used by Saab Parts AB after the Saab Automobile bankruptcy in 2011.

1957 Saab 93 to race in the Mille Miglia 2013

The 31st Mille Miglia will be held May 16 - 19 in 2013 and there will be a 1957 Saab 93 participating in this year's event. 1.800 applications were submitted and only 375 teams have been selected. This is the only Saab in the event this year, as far as we know at the writing of this article.

Brothers Rik en Reint Jan van Lochem from the Netherlands are the owners and drivers of this Saab 93. It was purchased in Sweden in 2010 and has been restored to factory specifications

New webshop from the Saab Car Museum in Trollh�ttan

The Saab Car Museum in Trollh�ttan, Sweden recently opened their webshop where Saab enthusiasts can now order many Saab-related items and have them shipped to their home. Items include books, watches, model Saabs, key rings, pins and stickers, hats, license plate frames, owner and workshop manuals and much more.

They decided to "learn to walk before they can run" and currently ship to Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. They will soon be adding additional markets

Low-resolution pictures of the The new Saab 9-3 that was going to save Saab Automobile were revealed last week. Autocar published three more pictures in a higher resolution and includes a view of the front.

According to their website, this 4.5 meter long Saab 9-3 was going to be powered by a Saab-tweaked version of the Mini�s 1.6-litre

P4 West revealed these pictures of the new Saab 9-3 that should have saved Saab. This car was the rescue plan from Victor Muller and it was designed by Jason Castriota. Unfortunately, this new Saab 9-3 was never released because of the bankruptcy in 2011.

P4 West received these pictures through an unnamed source. This design was very close to what we would have seen for the production model and was going to be introduced at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show, according to P4
