    Antenna questions?

Sorry, these are going to probably sound stupid, but I have to ask...

    1. When going through an automated car wash, do you leave your antenna on? or unscrew and take it off?

    2. It appears the "cover" or plastic piece between the antenna and roof might be exactly the same as the SRX. Can anyone confirm they are interchangeable? (The SRX came with that piece being body color rather than flat black)

    3. Has anyone replaced their antenna with an aftermarket shorter/stubby one? if so, which? and did your radio (AM/FM) reception change?

Thanks, was looking for a short stubby, rather than shark fin. I would rather just unscrew the stock, and screw in the replacement.

There seem to be reports of a slightly negative impact to FM reception with that shark fin too, which would make me hesitant to try it.

The car wash ate my wife's antenna on the first pass through. We haven't noticed any slightly negative impact to FM reception without it.
