On the drive back from France last week got me thinking...... It happens about once a year.

I've done the drive to the South of France in a £500 banger as its known.. Although the looks like I bought it for more. I reckon I could do it again in another £500 Banger. So when I got back to Blighty I spoke to a fella car nut. He has a 1972 Vauxhall Viva estate and a Alfa 147. I fancy doing the Barcelona Bangers. Fancy it?? He's smiled and said he'd look into it.

What I want to know is, has anyone done this? and is there just one version of Barcelona Bangers or not? As as far as I knew that you bought a car for less than £500, drive it to Barcelona then auction it off when arrived there. If I do this, I reckon the car would have to be something different. Would I want to auction it afterwards.

Anyone know anything about the run and ideas for car.

Take a SAAB! I am sure you can find a decent one for under 500. Also the Spanish SAAB club is pretty active, so there is a certain following there, maybe good for sales.
