WTF?
That's awesome.
So, this morning, one of our neighbors calls and asks if our cable was working. It was. So they said to come outside. When I walked out I saw that four houses on the oppisite side of the road were missing mailboxes and a above-ground box cable was mangled beyond belief. Turns out, someone must have had a bit too much to drink (or just has no idea how to drive) and drove through four yards. Judging by the tire tracks, they barely missed a fire hydrant. I really wish they had hit it though.Thankfully, they missed my friends 9-5 that was parked in front of my house.

I'm starting to apply for jobs... If you could work for a GM discount dealer, a higher-end used dealer, a Ford dealer, a Kia dealer, a well known used lot, a Chevrolet dealer, a Honda dealer, a Toyota dealer, or and Audi dealer, which would you choose?
I know two people that work at the GM discount lot, so I could probably get a job there for sure...and it's only 5 minutes away, and the Audi dealer is 30 minutes away. All of the others are about 10-15 minutes.

I think the kind of people you'll be working for and with is more important than the car you're selling. Do some research. Maybe get someone to "case the joints" to get a feel for the atmosphere.
Depends on what you are going to work there for.
But generally, whatever one puts the most money in your pocket, and doesn't ruin your morals.

We had some crazy weather today. One of my friends that lives in the next town posted this on Facebook:
Several tornadoes touched down. The town of Henryville is leveled and 4 people killed. Everything by my house is fine. My pool got dented, but not collapsed.

The town of Holton, IN , just west of Versailles, was pretty much leveled as was the Ohio river town of Moscow and Piner, KY. Moscow is about 20 miles from me as the crow flies. Several other towns to the east of me in the next county over have been declared disaster areas. People have been finding debris from Henryville on the east side of Cincinnati. 100+ miles away. At least 14 people are dead in Indiana and the death toll in Ohio is still climbing.
These storms were crazy intense. The one that hit Piner, KY came down the hill, crossed the river and hit Moscow, OH then marched up the hill to Felicity and Bethel, OH. Bethel is about 15-20 miles straight down St Rt 125.
The 3 state death toll is at 31 and climbing.
It didn't do anything at my house, a little bit if rain.
I'm waiting for my dad to call and tell me yay or nay on whether he needs help at his house in Brown Co.
I never thought tornadoes came so close to Cincinnati. I always pictured them a bit more south-westerly. Horrible to hear about the storm.
We've had crappy weather, but no where near a tornado/storm. Windy at mid 30's with gusts higher. And I was disappointed that it decided to rain and be windy on the weekend! Now I'm glad I'm safe, and the city isn't in shambles.

We have an occasional tornado here in New Jersey, perhaps one or two small ones that take out trees or something.
How do you folks do it? Honestly, I could not live in one of those tornado alleys without having a shelter. My bud has a lake house (cottage) on the water in Moultonboro NH and the original owner was a survival guy of my era. In the basement, the survival room of solid concrete, does not have a door, the entry hall is in the shape of a "J" and he said that a door is not a good idea for a storm or nuke blast. The "J" shape mitigates the pressure differential of the blast and you won't get trapped by debris blocking the doorway making the shelter a tomb. Would that play out for tornadoes?
Aside from a typhoon or two out on a Pacific Island, I was on the second level of a nuke-proof hangar. An earthquake started rocking the thing and my buddy and I just sat there jiggling in our chairs with silly frightened grins on our faces. Go figure, in the face of danger, giggle like a little kid?
Do you guys pick out spots to hunker down if you are caught on your way from work when the fit hits the sham?![]()

We have a specific place in my house to go to if there is a storm. We have a finished basement and right in the middle of it there is a room that surrounded by concrete on three sides and open on the fourth. There is a table to sit underneath in there if it's necessary.
My neighbors all have places too. That room.![]()
Drive like hell. haha I was actually out when the sirens started going off, so I just booked it home.

I've got a spot in my basement as well with solid concrete on all sides. Gotta love 1950's construction.
In all honestly, I've never gone to the basement during any storm. This only happens about once every 10 years. The geography of where I live means that tornados generally miss us. The Ohio river valley has a big influence on the way storms track. The valley splits storm cells up and they generally track to the south, as they did on Friday, and miss the densely populated parts of the area.
I've watched storms roll across the central Indiana plains making a beeline for Cincinnati, only to see them fizzle when they approach the river valley.

Tempe, Arizona arrived from google.com on "SaabWorld - 2012 Saab 9-5 SportCombi spotted in Vänersborg, Sweden" by searching for bmw 5 wagon 2012.
Last time I was at the folks I helped my dad hang a radiant heater in the garage. Now I'm back again for lots of work on the car. And it's fully installed and working. It keeps the garage warm enough to work in a t-shirt, and there was snow on the ground outside! It's pretty impressive, and is almost silent! No more smelly salamander space heater.

Am I the only one that finds a few of their belts in the garage somewhere. I start working on my car, then realize I don't want the buckle to scratch it. So I take it off, and throw it over to the other side. For longer projects, this happens until I run out of belts. I forget I've thrown them there, and can never find them. When I realize where they are, there are my 3 or 4 belts in the corner.
