Honestly, I'm going with the cheapest one there. It's a '67, so it has the early longnose front-end, best dash you could get in the V4, and the best steering wheel. Peeling clear coat is just a visual thing (the paint on the others looks much worse). Plus it looks like he gave the car a pretty good tune up (notice the new coolant hoses). The middle one isn't a bad choice either, besides the paint. You can get new taillight lenses from Skandix (https://ssl.kundenserver.de/www.skan...B=281014987=29). It says right side only, but I'm pretty sure they are both the same. The blue one is my third choice, just because the others are better.

Opal green is a nice color on them... but you've got to have guts to have it.

    UPDATE!
    a good one too!!!

I am going with the 1967 (blue one)! he is sending the bank the title tomorrow so we can get everything moving.
    a few reasons -
Cost - i will still have a lot of money left over to get the mechanicals sorted and get it painted. (love the opal green by the way, very sexy if it had black rally stripes!) i was thinking of Porsche nacht blau too but i think it is too much for a car like that.
Year - love the styling of the older cars. it is also the same year as the stroker i was looking at.

Bad thing is that it is the furthest away (Oregon) so transport will be around $1,100

    Also i priced insurance - $95 a year! i pay that for a month on my 240!

Actually...would an older 96 look good in that green? i have only ever seen the "newer" ones in it...

Do you mean the white one? The blue one isn't a '67. At least that interior isn't. And the white one is a '67 and it's in Oregon.

Personally, I love the early long nose 96 is red.

Sorry it has been awhile, nothing good ever became of this. i could not justify the two stroke as a DD at this point and the only other V4 that was nice and in my price range was in Seattle so i am still SAAB-less.

In the mean time i bought a 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 as it was in my area, had a low price and is mostly road ready. i will be back to saab someday though!

the car is not perfect and needs cosmetic work but it drives great.

Nooooo, i got rid of that a long time ago and sold my 1997 about 11/2 months ago. i still have a few parts kicking around though if you need something.

Haha yeah...I am thinking about it. It needs a new rear end and I don't know if I want to invest that much more into it on top of the other issues. That and I found a bunch of nice Volvo 240 around me. Still no 96 though...one in Finland for $850 hahaha.
