Thread: SaabWorld Terms of Service

1) Be polite and respect your fellow SaabWorld members and visitors
There is no need for cursing, flaming, racism, personal attacks or other disrespectful behavior. Discussions about controversial topics (weapons, politics and so on) are allowed but please keep them informative and fair for everybody.

2) Businesses are welcome but do not spam
Commercial advertising or promotion of commercial services is not allowed in the forums. Saab-related advertising (sales, product/business introduction and special deals) by commercial businesses is permitted in the Commercial Marketplace forum section. Selling of Saabs, parts or other Saab-repated items by businesses is allowed in the Marketplace choosing Commercial as the Selling Type. SaabWorld reserves the right to remove any posts for any reason.

3) Don't get us in trouble
Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things that will obviously lead to legal trouble.

4) Posting etiquette
A well-written post is easy to understand and will get the attention of others. Thread titles should be a clear summary of the subject you are posting about. It is important to stay on or close to the topic of the thread you are posting in for all boards except the Clubhouse. Unrelated, off-topic posts may be deleted or moved to a new thread.

5) Keep the place nice
This forum is not the place for obscene, vulgar, pejorative, hateful, threatening or sexually-oriented content, swearing, or other immature behavior and bad content. SaabWorld is a family and work friendly place so be considerate to others. The site does not filter bad words so we rely on everybody to keep it clean. This includes actual words and intent (like substituting characters or abbreviations).

6) Links to other sites
Please do not use links to other forums, blog, news or other Saab sites solely for promoting the site. Links to commercial businesses are allowed by second-party individuals and must be in the context of the thread/post.

7) The Final Word
The owners and moderators of SaabWorld reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any content item for any reason they deem appropriate in accordance to their best judgment. They will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this site but it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and the owners of SaabWorld will not be held responsible for the content of any message.

8) Use at your own risk
Car repair involves safety precautions, technical expertise and experience. While there is an effort to present accurate information, there is the possibility of incomplete or incorrect information. SaabWorld, moderators, and contributors cannot assume liability for any damage or injury incurred for using any information on this website. Information in tutorials and posts is intended to inform but those attempting repairs should exercise appropriate judgment, observe industry safety precautions and seek expert consultation, where appropriate.

9) Copyright and content on SaabWorld
All original content on the site is property of the authors. No content may be used without written consent from the author/SW member. Edits and deletions in the forum may be done within 24 hours. After this time, content becomes part of SW indefinitely and can not be changed or removed.

Content on SaabWorld
SaabWorld may use any content in the forums, garage, classifieds and blogs for promotional purposes (i.e. promote to the front page, post on Twitter/Facebook etc). Content from other websites may not be directly copied to SaabWorld, unless you are the author of such material. Excerpts of or quotes from external content should always identify the source. Original images with a SaabWorld watermark may be used on other websites but may not be altered in any way.

SaabWorld content on other blogs and news websites
You may only copy brief excerpts of any content and properly credit SaabWorld as your source. Translation of content for a limited number of articles in other languages than English is allowed but SaabWorld must be identified as the source, including a link to the original site content.

Content hosted on other websites
In order to protect content on SW for many years to come, we reserve the right to copy image and other files from other websites if they are linked in your posts and you own the rights to these pictures or files. The reason for this is many pictures on free hosting accounts expire after a while or members move on and pictures are lost forever. Hosting these pictures and other files on SaabWorld will assure they are available forever.

Picture for Saab for Sale ad
At least 1 picture is required for all Saab for Sale ads. More pictures (up to 9) is always better.

Price is required for all For Sale ads
If you are selling something, the buyer needs to know the asking price. If you are firm on your price or are taking offers, please mention this in the ad. If you are not sure of an asking price, please post in the forums requesting help from the community or do your own research.

Sell here, post all information here.
Ads with links to other sites like eBay, Craigslist or other Saab sites for text and pictures are not allowed. If you have more than 9 pictures of the item you're selling, you can post links to other sites.

For private sellers and dealers/businesses
Commercial sellers are welcome to offer Saabs and used/new parts for sale in the MarketPlace. Please make sure to identify yourself as a commercial seller.

Use at your own risk
SaabWorld and its owner/moderators are not liable for any loss that may occur with any transaction in the Marketplace. We will monitor the section and try to remove any questionable items or sellers but can not guarantee any goods or services offered in the Marketplace.

Keep the Marketplace up-to-date
When you sell an item, mark it Sold in the Product Options menu. You can also delete an ad if it is not available for other reasons. If you post a Wanted ad and found what you were looking for, please delete your ad.

Be ready to sell when you post a For Sale ad
No "feeler", "testing the waters" or "I am thinking of selling.." advertisements, please.

Do not sell these items

• Any copyrighted materials without appropriate licenses (like software)
