    9-3, 2007, Aftermarket FOG-Lights install issues

Hello again, I have originally no Front FOG-Lights, and would like to install 'em myselfs:

    - furthermore, seen the Saabs electronics complexity: I was wondering if I install myself aftermarket front
FOG-lights; could I use the yet provided push-button position (which is blanked-off now)
And than probably they will need software activation, so I probably can't do it myself?

These cars really don't allow much freedom, to the DIY'er, ain't they?

    Greetz, Harry.
Everything is simple ,regarding time spend

The easiest way to install fog lights is using the original Saab lights. You would have to replace the light switch on your dash and have one with an integrated front fog light switch like the one below. You would also need a wiring harness to connect the fog lights. Instructions for installation can be found here: Saab 9-3 fog lights installation instructions

I am sure you can wire aftermarket fog lights but I think it will be more trouble that it's worth.
