Radiator drain petcock, possible GM part

The coolant doesn't have a change interval but I don't believe that it should be considered a lifetime fluid. I am getting ready to change it within the next 12 months. I've already bought coolant, distilled water, and am looking for a radiator drain cock. That part is plastic and can be damaged upon removal.

The Saab part number for the drain is 24411010 for $13 but 6 months ago, they were not available. They might be now.

Dorman makes a replacement part (JCWhitney $3.93, O'Reilly $4.99). It's Dorman RB61134 or 63114. I will do some research since it might also be the Dorman 61136.

It looks like it is the same as on the Saab 9-5. You don't have to remove it, just turn to open to drain the coolant.

It's the above and not this one, correct?

If no answer, I'll report back within a year when I change it.

I think so but I am not sure. Mine only turns 1/4 and I never removed it.

You shouldn't break the peacock, you just give it a 1/4 to 1/2 turn until the fluid starts coming out.
