I found these pictures on eBay and just had to share. It is from a 2008 9-5 with only 6 miles on it. Automatic transmission included. I wonder what happened to the car. $4,500. That would be cool to have as a spare engine if it wasn't so expensive.

Great to see this photos of a clean engine out of the car, not something you see every day. Especially helpful if you're planning on doing some accessory work, always handy to see what goes where.

I'd love to have that turbo and cobra pipe
My dad's 9-5 could use those trans cooler lines
Heck - I'd drop that engine into his alsoOur has 20-25,000 on it as it is, so it's not like it's a ton - he is nearing 200K with his 01' however.
I found it interesting to note on this '08 engine, the absence of the Center Pulley and the difference in the PCV box & routing of PCV pipes.

Hi
I´ve got the same nick than in saabcentral. Great pics Frank. I personally find it´s a pity that SAAB is not producing these own sourced engines anymore. They´re still fairly competitive nowadays. With the new 2010+ GM 9-5, all new cars with a "saab logo" will have to share all engines with cheaper cars from GM marques, like Audi does with VW. Shame we cannot buy any more real SAABs...
