My previous 2001 9-5 was a great car but I was looking for a little bit more power and better handling. I found this 3-year old 2005 9-5 Aero at an independent dealer near Boston, MA. It was affordable and within my price range because it had fairly high miles (just below 100K miles). It also had a manual transmission which is pretty rare in the USA. Especially in a '04-'05 wagon.
The decision was quickly made and I flew out to Boston. Mattlach (from SaabCentral) met me at the airport and was kind enough to drive me to the dealer in his '04 9-5 Aero Sedan. It's always nice to meet other Saab enthusiasts. 
Even though it had high miles (30K+ a year), it was in excellent shape, cosmetically and mechanically. I dropped the sump and it looked like a new one inside.
The car was eventually sold to SaabScott and currently has more than 180k+ miles on it. Go Saab, go! |
