Saab cars were first brought to the United States 55 years ago this month. Ralph Millet was the American importer. Initially, the dealers were only in the northeast part of the United States. In 1964, the first Saab dealer west of the Mississippi River was opened by Jerome Adams.
Jerome Adams passed away on April 28, 2011 at the age of 72 having suffered a stroke in 1996 that forced his retirement.

Yesterday, a good samaritan found a lady at a Walgreen's pharmacy (chemist) bewildered at her Saab. Her key fob would not unlock her car. The lady's child was waiting in another part of the city and it was getting late. Something had to be done.
Fortunately, the sunroof was partly open three quarters of the way. The lady and 2 good samaritans discussed who was the slimmest person. One person was selected. She would attempt to enter the car through the sunroof and unlock the door. ...by Published on 31 March 2011 03:35 Number of Views: 10056
Saab is currently building a resurgence in the Asia Pacific region. When General Motors was planning to close Saab in late 2009, several markets were abandoned, such as Australia and New Zealand. During those uncertain days, Saabs continued to be sold in Singapore. It may be a surprise to some that Singapore became the second largest Saab market the Asia Pacific region, surpassed only by the Republic of China on Taiwan. There are plans for increased sales in the People's Republic of China, Australia, and Japan, all of which are much larger than the Singaporean market and will eventually displace Singapore as the number two Saab market in the Asia Pacific region. ...by Published on 27 March 2011 04:40 Number of Views: 5876

In the United States, there is only one major ranking survey for CPO (certified pre-owned) cars. CPO is a term used for used cars which have passed a manufacturer's guidelines for used cars. CPO cars are usually sold with a warranty. Used cars which do not have a CPO designation are not necessarily worse but may not have been assessed for the designation.

The Saab 92 is rumored to be on the drawing board to come out in the 2014 model year. What is news is that hours ago, Car and Driver declared that the Saab 92 is one of 25 cars worth waiting for.
With the signing of an agreement for BMW to supply turbo engines modified to Saab specifications, it is assumed that this will be the initial engine for the Saab 92. Saab is considering partnering with another automobile company to share development costs of the model. ...by Published on 14 March 2011 17:10 Number of Views: 4990
General Motors (GM) consolidated its market strategy and withdrew Saab from the Canadian market on December 31, 2009. Within about six weeks, GM reached an agreement with Spyker Cars NV to acquire Saab Automobile AB. However, Canada was still without a Saab importer, much less a website.
Saab re-entered the Canadian market eight months later in August, 2010 and has just begun to restore its website at saab.ca. At one time, there was no website. In recent months, the website for Saab in Canada was merely a one page website referring readers to the U.S. website and listing the dealers in Canada.
