Ally Financial released information obtained by Saabworld today. An edited version is as follows:
78 new 2011 Saabs will be sold via SmartAuction on August 30th. Vehicles sold with Michigan resale titles.
The sale is open to U.S. Saab dealerships registered with SmartAuction and standard auction sales fees will apply. The auction starts 9:00 am Thursday, August 30th and ends the same afternoon at 2:30 pm Eastern time.

Ally Financial, previously GMAC, obtained a court judgment several months ago to take possession of about 900 new Saabs located primarily at 3 U.S. ports. Two auctions have already taken place. The next auction is on August 16, 2012 between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

Nearly 900 new Saab cars are marooned at the port. Ally Financial, previously known as GMAC, obtained a court judgement for these cars after payments were missed. These cars are now being auctioned. The first batch of 45 new Saabs were auctioned on June 28, 2012. The next batch of 84 cars are being auctioned on July 24, 2012. The first two of a series of auctions will soon take place for Saabs at ports in the United States. Ally Financial obtained a court judgment to the cars after Saab missed payments on the cars. About 900 Saabs have been in storage in Newark (near New York), Port Hueneme (near Santa Barbara, California), and Brunswick, Georgia. There are a few cars in other locations, including a few in Sweden.
