- I may be 20 but I have an EXTREME passion for the autmotive world. I am a rare combination of car guy AND business man. I am currently an International Business major and German major with a minor in Entrepreneurship. My dream is to bring business smarts and knowledge to the car industry without stifling passion in order to make it easier to produce better cars. I love talking cars and surround myself with them. My first car was a SAAB 9-3 and it is simply an amazing car and started my obsession. Professionally I have risen through the ranks at 2 Porsche and 2 Bentley dealerships and still work for a Bentley dealership and Porsche corporate today. Hopefully I can add SAAB to my resume once everything has settled down!

9-4X is SOLD OUT in US!!!
It's about time we start to here good news sales wise!
Just opened up the latest edition of Saab i and while it was clearly geared for the European market there was a small but crucial bit of information found at the bottom.

Case and Point for the SUV

Many people argue and hate the idea of the SAAB SUV and say that they should focus on cars and such and that the 9-3 should be getting the attention and the 9-5 wagon is the way to go if you want more space.
But heres the reality in cold hard facts ... and cash.
The Range Rover Evoque went into production yesterday the 4th. Alone it is expected to bring in 2Billion pounds to the UK GDP and an additional 2 Billion pounds because of the suppliers are mostly British sourced.
9-2 or 9-2X ?

There has been a lot of talk lately in the industry about this SAAB 9-2, from renderings to mini cooper based platforms and everything in between. The one thing all these rumors have in common though is that this car will not happen until a partnership is reached and there is funding. Would it not be wiser to hold of on this car till later and introduce a 9-2X instead?

What SAAB must do to survive ... ASAP
SAAB is in a pretty desperate situation, however it seems there is something they could be doing, and just are not and thats looking at what makes other companies successful and mimicking it.
Now is not the time to focus on cool small upgrades to the 9-3 here and there or special editions, now is the time to do what makes money and what makes money alone, special projects can be done once the heavy lifters do their job and SAAB is out of the red!
So what should they do?
