  2. My former username was Dave 37. I am NOT the same Dave 37, a cartoon artist from Lewiston, Idaho, who posts on art forums. The 37 number was inspired by the number of the automatic transmission on the Saab 900, a Borg Warner Type 37 transmission. However, I am not a transmission and had my username changed.

New tires for my Saab: the Continental ExtremeContact DW

by Dave T on 14 May 2012 at 13:00
A few months ago, my tires were approaching four years old and the tread was getting worn. Time to get new tires. Since I had good experiences with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric, getting the Asymmetric 2 was almost a possibility. It was released in many countries, but not the U.S., so it would have been extremely expensive to specially import. This time, it would be Continental ExtremeContact DW tires.

The Continental ExtremeContact DW is billed by Continental as an "ultra

Outside of the garage

by Dave T on 30 April 2012 at 04:09
Saab parts come from Saab as well as many suppliers. Recently, I looked into one supplier; what they normally do, more about their product, and how the Saab factory situation has affected them.

Shiny glass and shiny Saabs

Saab glass is made by Saint-Gobain Sekurit, a large multinational company headquartered in France. Saint-Gobain is the largest European

by Dave T on 05 March 2012 at 02:04
It may be another 6-8 weeks until it gets the city's certificate of occupancy. The interior of the garage is not yet finished. The structure hasn't been named yet. How about calling it Saab House? Or Saab World?

It's Official. Saab museum cars saved.

by Dave T on 26 January 2012 at 04:06
Although reported a day or so earlier, it has now been officially confirmed that the Saab museum cars will be publically displayed in a museum.

Saab's bankruptcy administrator attorneys issued a memo on January 13, 2012 informing the public that the Saab Car Museum in Trollhättan, which had closed at the end of 2011, was to have its more than 100 car collection liquidated. The administrators solicited bids from the public as well as for the entire museum collection as a whole. The
