Hi Frank, have you heard anymore about the company. As it happens I'm out of the woods cos the dealer offered me an alternative car in diamond Silver which is already in the country and I can collect on the 14th so panic over.

Hi there, I am a bit worried to say the least. I had recently read that Saab had been bought by a Dutch company and also supported by a Russian business man and also the Chinese. Now I read a comment in the forum that they are still in trouble and production hasn't started and salaries haven't been paid. I have recently ordered the 95 and paid a substantial deposit. I have been told I will get the car sometime in October and am now very worried I won't get it at all. I need some help here!

  5. Hi Wulf, thanks for your reply. Just a quick question. Most people say the 2007 model had an amp under the left hand seat. If I have the premium 70 audio system with holes for speakers in the door, will the wires be there to add speakers or will this not be possible? many forums say the saab 9-3s have wires in the doors but are not connected to anything?
What do you think of my approach of using a component system up front with 6X9s in the back?

    Thanks

By the way, my 01 95 has been in the Mich garage for 8 months on blocks. I ran it out of gas and then pulled the fuel pump fuse, Prior to restarting it now I will turn it over till the oil light goes out then put the fuse back in. Do you thinkk I need to do anything to the turbo to protect from a dry start?

    Hey Frank:
Going up to Cedar River on May 3 to open up the house. I wish I had a photo but the I don't. The wind plew the entire ice shelf off Green Bay and piled in front of the house on the beach. It is blue ice and 3 stories high and a mile long. Must be amazing.
Kep up your good work on this site.
    Regards,
    Mike Brennan

Just wanted to say thanks for all you've done here. I really like the look of this forum! Also like your 2006 93SC aero!

Occupation:

Biography:
I was born and grew up in the Netherlands. I studied in the USA in 1990 and moved there permanently in 1994 when I was 27. I have mostly lived in Michigan but also in Southern California for a few years.

My advanced education started in The Netherlands at a private automotive college where I studied automotive technology, marketing and management. After graduation, I continued my study at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan for one year. I graduated with a BBA degree in Automotive Marketing and Management in 1990.

I have worked in Information Technology for most of the time but am anxious to switch career and do something in the automotive business.

I got interested in Saab in 2006 when I was living in California at the time. I never really paid any attention to the brand before and it has been a very interesting ride since I took my first test drive in a Saab 9-3.

2011 Saab 9-4X owners review - Part 3: Performance, handling and equipment

by Frank Wulfers on 16 February 2012 at 04:22
Part 1: Exterior, engine and transmission
Part 2: Interior, Seats and Visibility
Part 3: Performance, handling and equipment

Wilderness State Park, Michigan

The Saab 9-4X weighs a hefty 4,400 lbs with the 3.0i engine. The Aero is even heavier and can tip the scale up to 4,700 pounds. I owned a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer for a couple of years and it had the typical ride of an SUV. Heavy, pretty slow, vague steering,

2011 Saab 9-4X long-term owners review - Part 2: Interior, Seats and Visibility

Interior

No matter how good the exterior looks, it is inside where we spend most of our time. The interior of the 9-4X is very similar to the current 9-5 in design. While I have sat in the new 9-5 many times, I have never actually driven on. Coming from the first generation 9-5, the 9-4X feels a bit large inside at first. I had to get

I wasn't planning on buying a Saab 9-4X. Seriously! I made the mistake of visiting a few Saab dealers to check out the new 9-4X and see what all the hype was about. To make a long story short, I was very impressed and picked up my own 9-4X a few weeks later.

I purchased this Saab 9-4X 3.0i Premium FWD on 13 September 2011 so that was

Saab road trip - Lake Superior, Minnesota and Manitoba - part 2

by Frank Wulfers on 26 July 2011 at 03:46
Find Part 1 here: link

And the road trip continues.. We're still on the King's Highway 17 which is the longest highway in Ontario. It stretches from the Manitoba border to the east near Quebec and is 1,964 km / 1,220 miles long. That's a pretty good size road.

I often go camping with my 9-5 and a tent. Who needs a big RV when you have a Saab wagon?
