If Saab were still around, I might be driving a 2013 Saab 900, a car that never was.

Dave T - I would be very happy with an NG9-5 SC. It's nice to dream with a dram by the fire.
Hi Frank, this picture has spurred some discussions in recent days. Do you remember where you found it or know where it was taken? Thanks.
Here are links to the discussions, read through the comments:

I can't recall the picture source.
Saabblog.net used this picture in a recent post in April 2019 and says it was taken in 2017 at the Saab factory in Trollhattan. But I posted this picture on SaabWorld in November 2016 so obviously that is not correct.
Saabblog.net mentions it is a "Canopy-Top" prototype for the convertible based on the 9-X Air Concept. But I don't know if that is an assumption or actual fact Saab was working on a convertible like that.

The 9-5 SC was probably used for prototype, assembly line testing or R&D. It doesn't look like it was ever a completed vehicle that was scrapped.
Thanks Frank. I would say that it is a canopy roof prototype. Too bad there isn't any video of it in action.

Spotted this 900 in Homer, Alaska today. Not sure if it was still in running condition, it looked a bit tired.
