Odd Remote issue

Hello,

2004 Saab AERO convertible.
My remotes, 2 of them, have been working just fine for the past 2 years. All of a sudden they stopped working. I open the door with the key and the alarm goes off, start the car just fine and alarm goes off. Turn car off and remote still does not work.
Disconnecting the negative battery cable for about 1 minute seems to do the trick to make it work again.

This happens the next day again.
Needless to say, this is very frustrating. My Tech 2 says everything is fine, including the remote battery. (although I am about to put new ones in anyway).
I even reprogrammed the BCM, thinking it would work, but that did not do the trick either.

Any suggestions. ?
