Shifting sweet spot
I’d like to improve my shifting. I’m using the gas increase/clutch out teeter totter balance method which works. But sometimes I hit a sweet spot in a shift where I don’t lose rpm, feels like I conserve ALL the momentum as I go into the higher gear.
I don’t know what the secret is to hitting tat sweet spot every single time.
Can anyone share tips? Do I need to come in sooner with the gas?
Thank you

Saab Scania of North America (before Saab Cars USA) used to publish Saab Soundings magazine. In 1983, there was an article about the benefits of shifting 1 - 3 - 5 for fuel economy. However, don't lug the engine too much and don't do this during the first 1-2,000 miles.
Closer to the question asked, I think it's just trial and error. Give enough gas to have high enough rpms but not too high.

...and complete the shift before too much momentum/rpm are lost?

Yes, with a barely perceptible pause in neutral.
