Glow Plugs with sensors
Has anyone had a work around for the Glow Plug with sensor issue that triggers SVS (Service Vehicle Soon) fault codes P0396 to P03B5 due to Soot contamination/clogging of the pressure sensor glow plugs.
GM issued a Technical Service Bulletin in 2010 recalling all Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTI vehicles with the Service Vehicle Soon light and limp home mode and installed new software that was made available on TISweb CW40/211.
Once the software was applied the DTC's were deleted the new software will no longer activate the SVS light any longer.
I called in to various Vauxhall dealers and they could not offer any assistance. The Glow Plugs are very expensive and cost £120 (can get for £90) a glow plug. I have had to replace 3 sets in the last 4 years and guess what - it is happening again.
ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS PLEASE?
Thanks

I think you need to take it to an orio approved dealer with an MDI, they should be able to carry out the required software update, mine used to regularly come up 'service vehicle soon' when i first had it, along with it not starting on occasion, i had several updates carried out at the same time which fixed all the issues, there are many software updates available on these cars you just need a dealer to do it. orio official workshops can be found easily on the internet.
