Thanks a lot! System car set up meen that authorised dealer can make this?
Sorry - NO.
Not the car but the infotainment system, apologies if I was not clear.
Will try to take some shots of the buttons and the process this evening/weekend.

Thanks very very very much! I'm grateful if you give me the information.
@Gepe,
If you can try to take some shots of the buttons and the process, I'm grateful if you give me the information.
Will do this afternoon - sorry but was very busy over the weekend :(
Apologies,
TTFN
@GEPE: I'm sorry but I did not want you to rush ... Still, the problem is not urgent! Thanks anyway in advance!
@Gepe, non news about screen shot?
has anyone updated the map, with a unit like mine which sometimes forgets which track was playing last on the hard drive, as I would like a newer map but am a little concerned it may be affected by this fault.
I have had the firmware update which improved the hdd function.

Hello there. I have updated the Sat Nav but have not had the problems you have identified. If the firmware has been updated I would think the update would not be affected by the music issue. Disks are dear and take a long time to load so a long drive with breaks to complete the update may be called for (takes about 80 minutes). Will re-start the up-load from any break point. Any Qs send a pm.

The maps update is a separate update, as Gepe says ... all DVD based and takes about 80 minutes.
Now the track issue is one of the symptoms of the bad "silver chips" in many of the NG9-5 radios, as well as the radios in the 9-4X. If the firmware update does not fix it, you can get the chip replaced through your SAAB dealers. It's expensive.
I had my 9-4X silver chip replaced when my radio would not remember CD tracks, my navigation would not remember the programmed route when the car is powered off, the clock defaults to wrong (GMT) time, my safety screen came up every start, and there are actually about a dozen more things that could go wrong with a bad silver chip.
