What happened to "your" Saab dealer?
What happened to the Saab dealer that you call "yours"? Here's what happened to mine...
Star Motor Cars, Houston, Texas (USA). I bought a Saab 900 from them when they sold Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Saab, Aston Martin, and Lotus. They dropped Saab and I'm not certain about Lotus. They are still in the same location. The building that they serviced Saab and Aston Martin may have been torn down. Summary: Saab is gone, they are still there.
DeBrecht Saab Nissan, Webster Grove, Missouri (near St. Louis) USA. I bought a Saab 900 from them. They closed in 1990. The owner later passed away. A few years later, it was not a car showroom but was used for car related business.
Saab of Indianapolis. I bought a Saab 900 from them. It was a small, old building. I think the dealer was sold to a nearby VW dealer. In Indianapolis, there is now a Saab service center which may or may not be part of the VW dealer.
Carter Saab VW, Seattle, Washington, USA. I bought a Saab 9-3 from them in 2005. Roughly around 2008, they dropped Saab and used the showroom to sell Subarus. At the time, they kept the blue overhang over the front of the building that was a design common to Saab dealers.
Saab of Bellevue, Bellevue, Washington, USA. They became a Saab franchise late and did not have too long to sell new cars. They also sell expensive used cars and Aston Martin. The building is unchanged. There is a big Saab sign on the building. They are an official Saab service center.
Schumacher Saab, West Palm Beach, Florida, USA. I picked up my European Delivery Saab from them 10 years ago. Google maps shows a freestanding Saab sign. They are still an official Saab service center. They sell Subaru and VW. The blue overhang design on the building that was common to many Saab dealers is now white.
Lehman Buick Saab, Miami, Florida, USA. They dropped Saab roughly around 2008. I brought my Saab there for a minor repair.
Victor Saab, Abington, Pennsylvania, north of Philadelphia. They closed years ago. I think it may be an auto parts store.
Larson Cadillac Saab GMC, Fife, Washington, near Tacoma. They are still an official Saab service center. The blue overhang exterior design is still there.
