Horn airbag clock spring
Hi!
Does anyone know if a clock spring from a 1999 9-5 or a 97 9000 would be compatible for a 96 900se turbo?
They are kinda pricey new and I have a couple that I could take from these other cars. I've been trying to cross reference part #'s and I think that the 9-5 could work I would just like to be a little more sure before I do it.
Also is it true that I would still have to reset it to get the srs light to go out? I had read that somewhere but I had also read that after some number of miles or starts it will reset itself.
Thanks

If it helps Part No 5331202 was common to 9-5s (1998-2010) and 9-3s (1998-2003). This was the suggested replacement part when 5011705 for the 900 was NLS. This may have been a later part number (I think possibly 1998) but I'm in UK so things may have been different in the States.
From memory, changing the clock spring didn't flag a warning on my 9-5s (provided they were functioning correctly). As no one else has responded I would just try one and see if it works. Clearly, if you get warnings, then you'd need to investigate further to ensure it functions and in order to reset the SRS light (DO NOT JUST IGNORE A WARNING).
Hope that is of some help.

Hi,
Thanks!
I replaced the clock spring. Do you know if the light will just reset?
