Thinking of buying a 9-3 TTID. Advise sought

The time has come for me to swap my ultra reliable and economical Skoda Fabia TDI for something a little more 'long legged'. I do a 580 mile return trip to Cornwall reguarly these days. Having done some research I fancy a 9-3 TTID Saloon. About 2010/11. 50,000 miles ish. FSH. I prefer to buy from the owner/user, rather than a dealer. If anyone has such a car, please let me know. I notice that the ones I have looked at on line have an MOT History that shows broken coil springs and disintegrating brake disks. Is this a particularly 9-3 issue? I also note the comments on keys that evaporate! Any advise welcomed. Thank you for your time. Toby
