Hi. It's the link at the top of this page (mega.nz) for the WIS download. And i just chose the Browser button. Thanks.
Strange.. I just tried again and no issues with downloading. I used Chrome on both a Windows and OS X computer.
if you use mozilla firefox maybe you have issue like me ...needing to do with chrome
Disclaimer: I'm a Mac user, not a Windows person. I picked up a Dell 630 laptop, running a fresh install of XP, to use this software (along with a soon-to-be-acquired Tech II.)
I downloaded the WIS file and ran it to install; it gets to a point in the installation and throws up an error message:
"Could not write value to key \SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{1171A62F-05D2-11D1-83FC-00A0C9089C5A}\Programmable. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel."
The options are Cancel, Retry, Ignore. Retry and Ignore just result in the message being re-displayed; Cancel aborts the install and deletes all of the program files!
Am I doing something wrong, or is it telling me this version won't run on XP?

UPDATE: The error code apparently has something to do with the cleanup process on installation; searching through the drive, I found the application file, which runs fine. I manually added a shortcut to the desktop.
If anyone else runs into this problem, simply go to C:\Program Files\Wis\bin and find the Wis application. Create a shortcut to the desktop and all should be well!

I believe (not sure) that version is for 64 bits not 32 check if your version is 64 bits
Big thanks to CaptainFrank. Running Windows 10 on a 5 year old iMac via Virtual Box. Works very well indeed much better than a similar XP setup.
Hi all, I'm new on this forum. And my first post is about problem with WIS ... Lucky me ... and sorry if I write incomprehensible/in Engrish - I rarely write in English.
Sooo, I downloaded and installed WIS and EPC (strange silent instalation, but ok, it should be faster) on my PC with Win 10 Fall CU and I have problem with WIS (and I need it working fast).
EPC is working fine, but when I open WIS I have window with blank Username field and when I click Ok there is pop-up window with "Could not find" and WIS turns off after clicking OK.
I found on YT (old Win8 instalation on Virtual Win XP) that there should be Default profile and it should work fine.
Also I can't uninstall WIS (pop-up about incompatible program for my system) ...
In EPC, when selecting the vehicle, you can enter the VIN in the Serial number box and click OK and you will be taken to the correct pages.
Big thanks to CaptainFrank :)
Just got my Tech2 and getting the pieces in places
