Hi guys, has anyone replaced the 98-01 throttle body with the one came in 2004 model year? I have pcv#6 in my 2001 Aero but the system in 2004 seems different to that too

Did 2000 and 2001models had "high" rating in past two years? We might be seeing a pattern in here that could be inline with the maintenance schedule

Oil in my 2001 Aero was turning dark within 1000km before I did an oil flush. The engine flush additive was enough for 5l so I put about 20% of the fluid first, idled for 10 mins or so and drained...

16" should be cheap as they are not in demand. I'd check the local wreckers first if eBay ones are pricey. If lucky, might get a set with good tires even maybe winter ones

I've used ALU 22, ALU 37 (9-3) and ALU 47 without any issues. Any 16" 9-5 rim came after 2000 should fit definitely. Other OEM rims will fit too. Don't recommend using post 2003 9-3 (SS) wheels...

Throttle body gave up in my 2000 Aero at 205000km. Some say cleaning can prolong its life. There was a noticeable improvement in power after the replacement

Just did a trouble shooting and the car runs fine with MAF sensor disconnected. I tried with the MAF sensor feom another 9-5 and the car did the same. So, it's not a faulty sensor.

Hi, Did you solve the problem? My 2000 9-5 Aero is doing exactly the same thing + it seems to destroy the spark plugs. Your reply is much appreciated.

Hi, did any of the pre 2004 non Aero models had the Mistsubishi turbo installed from the factory? Maybe the Vector?

I did this on my 2000 Aero today. Took only about 15 minutes thanks to the clear and detailed instructions. The car boosts as if it had a stage 1 remap :-)

I knew that there must be a good reason for the air intake to be designed the way it is ;-)

This is probably not a very smart thing to do, but what will be the affects if I cut a hole (or few holes) on the sides and on the bottom lid of the air filter box?
