Our saab site in finland there is a topic where is recommended to tighten camsaft wheel torx screws.they might scroll open and cause major disaster.
you should tighten those and use...

check on your fuse box cover witch fuse it is!
or take minus cable off for 10minutes

inside valve cover, there are two little pipes,they might be clogged as well...these attach directly on that nipple behind "SAAB" -text...

but my vote is for turbo...and if you buy a new one,...

easy job:

-with engine running, take off fuse #19 to stop the pressure in fuel lines (motor stops), turn off the power
-take two electric connectors (red/black) out of way
-take off little hose...

does the smoke smell "oil" and is it blue shaded? if so, my guess is the turbo going bad

you can check turbo´s condition by taking off the down-pipe from the turbo and then feel by fingers if...

You can also put some air with air compressor (carefully) to the C-hose in turbos magnet ventile (there is C,W,R -hoses in it)...you have to prevent airflow putting a 1,5L bottle in the end of big...

get your relay that controls headlights to the electronic shop where they can renew the tin solderings with soldering iron
i went in local TV repair shop...it cost around 10€
if i remember right...
