That's odd. I recommend contacting Saab parts North America and asking what the plan is. They were the ones who told me about the part.

a little over $100. fits much better. looks much better.

yea, my gm parts contact showed me the same thing but said they were discontinued. i suspect they still make them for saab parts na but we're gouging through their network. haven't ordered one yet....

most parts i have needed have been available either immediately, or within 4 weeks or so, but there is one part the front grille piece that sits right inside the headlight assay... been waiting for...

to be clear, i was assuming that the person above used a tech2, so then an MDI would work as well. if the tech2 does;t work then, yes a mdi is needed. according to this site, the SRX was MDI.

The MDI is a GM tool that replaced the tech2 and can emulate a tech2. so likely both will work.

I have the tool in Gepe's post. it makes it soooooooooo much easier than the "let air out" method.

my apologies, i misspoke. the hitch kit calls out what engines require a cooler and the part number. the 2.8L already has a cooler installed. here is the exact verbiage:

The aero already has a cooler so the hitch kit for a 2.8L turbo car does not call for one. I think a 3.0L kit does include it.

Well, to end any need for speculation, I spent a day of my holiday break to install the Cadillac trailer hitch kit (gm p/n 22758505) on my 9-4x Aero.

I believe it is up top underneath the plastic engine cover. that's where it appeared to be as i was watching an oil change on mine.

Interesting. I sent a picture of the srx fascia cover to Saab parts and they said it was not included. The part number above is for the full kit right? Not just the fascia cover (if it exists!).

thats an interesting point. i haven't had it on that side nor have i seen a post about it. its funny i never even considered it a potential problem that could occur not he other side, but i suppose...

I contacted saab parts NA a few days ago and was told that the 9-4 trailer hitch kit does not include a fascia cover now can you get one separately. Apparently you are just supposed...

hmm, mine was repaired less than two years ago by a saab dealer. what if you aren't living near them any more, will another one fix it?
