I'd be surprised if the door locks issue is connected to the starting/running problem, but have you tried a different (not necessarily new) ignition cassette yet?

My mechanic could never get an error code to show up. By process of elimination I'd decided that the CPS had to be the culprit, as I'd already replaced the fuel pump assembly and DIC.
