Yes there is a gap with the bracket. I used the stock bracket and the trim piece that came with the head unit. The Clarion trim looks much better.

No its a JVC but the connections are the same as the Clarion.

You need two. I connected them in between the head unit and the ISO block.

BMXER. Those would have come in handy! I finished installation this weekend. The GLI's worked perfect! I found a set on eBay for around $8US. I will post pictures of the finished installation...
