You could have just used the plastic fobs on eBay, probably cheaper. I needed a spare key as I one had one which was a very dangerous game with these cars.

Guys just to update, ended up getting a key from europarts and today was able to program the key without any issues. Avoid buying keys off ebay, they are a difference frequency.

I know this an an old thread harrisonsaab, but I ran into the same issue today programming a key. How did you fix the issue? My new key is 433mhz and clean.

I know this is an old thread, but as asked earlier, is the wiring the same for a 2000 saab head unit that only has cd and no cassette? :cool:
