The other day I found a very interesting project thread on the Swedish saab club forum, its about the royal Saab 99 limousine that took the Swedish king Carl XVI around in the states on the official state visit in 1976. Here is a little more history:
In the seventies there were no limousines in the Saab range, at that time Volvo had a limo in their range..
So when The swedish king Carl XVI was going to the United states for a state visit, of course he was going to ride a Saab! Said and done, Saab delivered a 99 2D and 99 4D to the bodywork firm Heinels in Malmö and ask ...byPublished on 23 March 2013 14:37 Number of Views: 1305

A few new and great quality pictures of the Saab 93 designed by Jason Castriota surfaced on a Danish website. Better pictures make the design much more attractive to look at compared to the earlier pictures we have seen.
The design of this new Saab received many critical responses. Some think the design is a great combination of older Saab details combined with the Saab Phoenix Concept car. Others may think the lines don't really work together and there is too much retro design. We will leave it up to the reader to decide so please share your thoughts in the comments. ...byPublished on 19 March 2013 13:30 Number of Views: 2193

The saab.com domain always was the home for Saab Automobile AB and was recently used by Saab Parts AB after the Saab Automobile bankruptcy in 2011.
Saab.com is now inactive and has links to these three Saab companies:
Saab Parts: http://www.saabparts.com/
Saab Cars: http://www.saabcars.com/
Saab Defense Group: http://www.saabgroup.com/
It's a small but significant change and acknowledges the fact Saab is one name for several different companies. Change is inevitable and it reminds us Saab is not the same anymore. ...byPublished on 25 February 2013 15:37 Number of Views: 2254

It is not very often Saab enthusiasts have the opportunity to own a Saab from the former Saab USA Heritage Collection. This red 1990 Saab 900 SPG is offered for sale by Park Avenue Lotus in Maywood, New Jersey.
The Carfax report shows the car was first inspected in 1993 in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the former home of Saab USA. The car was registered in Michigan in 2004, the same time when the Saab headquarters were moved to the Renaissance Center in Detroit. The car changed hands in June of 2012 and is now offered in an auction on eBay.
The current bid is at $9,300 and the reserve has not been met yet. Recently, a 1967 Saab 95 Wagon was sold at auction for $40,700 so it will be interesting to see how high the bidding will go for this pristine Saab 900. The auction ...
