Interesting. I sent a picture of the srx fascia cover to Saab parts and they said it was not included. The part number above is for the full kit right? Not just the fascia cover (if it exists!).
Not sure how to get confirmation without ordering the kit which I'm not willing to do.

I just finished installing the Curt 13002 class 3 hitch on my 9-4x. It was really easy. I did it by myself, without jacking up the car. It took about 30 minutes. The hardest parts were cleaning out the bolt holes on the frame (I had a steel brush rather than nylon, so some fibers/brissels got stuck in the threads. I was able to use a q-tip to better clean it) while preparing everything. And holding the bar assembly in place while putting the first bolts in.
The kit calls for the bolts to be torqued to 79lb-ft, but I don't have a torque wrench so I just tightened as much as I could until I can either borrow or buy a torque wrench. There is clearance to get the wrench in later.
I installed the wiring kit (Curt 56096), even though I'm likely going to use the hitch for bike rack, cargo carrier, etc rather than towing. Its definately better to install the wiring harness before the hitch as the hitch assembly blocks access to plug it in. For $10, it was worth buying the wiring harness and installing it first. I got the kit and wiring harness from Amazon, with Prime 2day Shipping and PA Sales Tax, it came out to less than $145 total. (Cadillac dealer wanted $505 + Pa sales tax for the SRX hitch kit. and I would have had to drop the exhaust to install it, something I ended up being too chicken to do myself).
The top of the receiver tube does touch the rear fascia so I'm not sure if the Saab or Cadillac fascia cover will fit properly. I have my fingers crossed that the Saab Fascia cover comes. It was ordered, and after some back and forth with the vendor, I just got an email that it is shipping. Postal Mail from Mass to PA, so should be here in a few days. (It looks like I got the last one)
It was definitely easier than the GM SRX kit based on the bolt locations and what was in the way.
Here are some pictures of the "after"
EDIT: Tracking number for the SAAB hitch cover says it is due to arrive tomorrow. So I'll be able to tell if fits over the Curt hitch soon.
EDIT2: Added curt P/N for wiring kit..

My order for the Saab Hitch Cover (P/N 19201642) came in last night. Its a snug fit. And due to the location of the receiver on the Curt kit, the cover doesn't go on/off easy...
The tabs on the top of the cover are difficult to align, the center one gets stuck when trying to remove the cover. When trying to put in place with the two "screw on clips" in the bottom, I have to press and "work" the cover in to place for them to line up.
here are some pictures of the cover and after its installed.
Triming the stock cover (like this cadillac owner did -> http://www.etrailer.com/Merchant2/gr...775_r2_800.jpg ) might be a good option too.Last edited by Mark_Venture; 05 August 2014 at 19:24.

it looks really nice a nice snug fit, the only thing is that it looks like the color is a bit off on the pics

So where did you get the SAAB hitch cover?
I'm going ahead an ordering the hitch and would like the cover too . . .
Thanks for the great write up.

Its very snug. I have to "hold" it in position to insert and tighten the fasteners underneath.
As for the colors, it may just be the crappy camera on my Moto X. Or slightly different sheen due to the 9-4x going through a car wash with Rain-X coating BEFORE the cover was put on.. But in person, there is not a noticeable difference.
EDIT: Btw, eTrailer.com web site shows both the Hidden Hitch and the Curt Hitch, and lists measurements (in their install videos). The Hidden hitch might sit a little lower, away from the bumper cut out. I'm not sure if that would have any impact on how the stock Saab Hitch Cover fits.Last edited by Mark_Venture; 07 August 2014 at 12:19.

jeffgtx talked about the Saab cover in this thread -> http://saabworld.net/f141/installed-...58505-a-29627/ about the stock Cadillac SRX Hitch kit.
I ordered mine from http://www.partswebsite.com/discount.../19201642.html however, so did sveba, just after I did. Apparently I got the last one.
My GM/Cadillac dealer (formerly Saab also) had the part number on record, for more money, but didn't think it was available when I called them.
Because of how the cover actually fits with the Curt Hitch, I would consider just trimming your existing cover/panel like -> http://www.etrailer.com/Merchant2/gr...775_r2_800.jpg

thanks for the offer, but I'm going to keep it. And keep using it until/unless it breaks. I might smooth off the top center tab, so its just flat, that might make it easier to take off/on. Then again, unless I start taking it off/on very very often, I'm just going to leave it be.
