    Car Names! Let's hear them!

What did you name your car and why?

    I'll start.

The Saab is named Alfred because it's a Swedish name and it's the name of the butler in Batman and I think of my car as kind of like my classy/bad-ass right-hand-man like Alfred from Batman.

And keeping with the batman theme, the Mazda is know as the bat mobile, because it's black and it had dark wheels and 10% tint.

The Suburban is named Edgar for reasons I can't remember.

And the S10 and the Mustang don't have names yet.

    I've only named two cars.

My 88 Chevy Spectrum was known as the rectum.

MY 84 Pontiac Phoenix was called the Reaper, as in Grim. Because it tried to to kill me on numerous occasions.

I had an old Peugeot 404 called "Dog Breath" simply cause it was the ... it was bad.

Generally, I don't name cars. They are hunks of metal for better or worse. If worse, they go to the wrecker.

Didn't see it, but my friend was telling me about it. Sounds awesome.

I called my Suzuki motorcycle Suki!

I haven't been very creative with car names. I called my Mercedes "The Benz" but that's about it.

My second of three classic 900s had a name but I seldom used it. The license plate had the letters YMX. That's the airport code for Mirabel Airport in Montreal. So I named the car, Mirabelle. YMX was a disaster. Very expensive to build but the only flights were to Europe because the airlines were forced to use it. Connecting traffic was little and included a flight from Toronto. Eventually, common sense took over and the international flights were allowed to use Dorval (now Trudeau) Airport, which is closer to Montreal.

I thought of calling my car, Penelope, which can be shortened to penny. That's about how much it's cost me to repair so far and that's also the resale value! My car's resale value is so low that it's worth much, much more to me.

Maybe Austin Power's friends can give you a suggestion?
