Depends on who you ask.. I just see it as pride of ownership.

one more point to add on:

To apply handbrake, I will depress the button, lift up the brake handle and release the button to engage the brake. This is important as the constant clicking of the "teeth" can cause unnecessary wear and tear on the assembly. My habit for all cars I drive, not just my Saabs.

But wouldn't that just cause more wear and tear on the button?

Probably not. Imagine the friction when the catch connected to the button is pressing and grinding against the stretch of teeth every time you are engaging the handbrake. Some driver also got the habit of pulling it fast which produce that material damaging sound and I can imagine some metal dust dropping on the floor board. A big NO for me.

I use to fill up the windscreen water reservoir after or before a long trip.

I have too many to list...but here are the top 5:

1.) when mountain driving on sharp curves in slippery conditions, I always take the first turn at wide open throttle and as fast as I can to see when the car breaks traction and determine if the suspension is straight and true. only in c900's though...

2.) always open the hood during a cold start

3.) turn seat heaters to max until hot and then off within 2 minutes

4.) drive like a anti-social cretin if on a gravel/dirt road with corners

5.) floor gas pedal while touching the brakes to see if APC turns off and reduces boost pressure (to see if wastegate isn't stuck shut) at least once a week.

Not sure if this was mentioned before.. When I have snow, sand or mud on my shoes, I always get in the car seated first with my feet still outside and tap them together 3 times to get the stuff off. 2 times seems not enough, 4 times a bit too many and 3 times just right.

When the winter ends I remove my headlights and disconnect the headlight wiper motors. I find them very annoying in the summer and wish SAAB had them on a separate switch.

I check my tire pressure every week, religiously.

As soon as the windshield wipers have streaks I replace them. I'll go through three or four pairs of wipers a year.

You may drink in my car but only if it's water.

I have the horrible habit of throwing trash behind the driver's seat (junk mail, water bottles, etc). Once a week I'll clean it up and I am ashamed of myself.

As soon as my windshield looks blotchy I clean it with vinegar to make it crystal clear again.

You better not ever touch my windows from the inside.

Don't lean on my car either.
