In-cabin video from Enduro
Hi all
I've taken a short video of a run around the block I did today after replacing my CIS injectors. Sorry about the clutch squeak - it's a project for tomorrow. This week should also see a 3" mandrel-bent exhaust system installed, with twin exit pipes just behind the rear left wheel arch. I'll do another video at that point.

At first, I sensed something was out of place, but I couldn't figure it out. You pulled out onto the left side, and once cars were coming at you from the right side of the road I thought "Oh dear god! What is he doing?"... Thanks Australia. Nice Defender too.

LOL... yeah, you blokes drive on the wrong side over there. First time I drove in NY I came out of a service centre and headed off down the wrong side of the road unconsciously. It was a true "D'oh!" moment.

Didn't the Drive On Left law get established so that medieval horsemen could use their right hands to wield sword or lance against on-comers?
And wasn't the drive-on-right law established by the French? It's no wonder they are so bad militarilyAsk me a question about your c900! I promise I either can answer it or know someone who can

Yes, something along those lines. Here's Wikipedia's take on it, which is probably close to the truth:
Some historians, such as C. Northcote Parkinson, believed that ancient travellers on horseback generally rode on the left side of the road. As more people are right-handed, a horseman would thus be able to hold the reins with his left hand and keep his right hand free—to offer in friendship to passing riders or to defend himself with a sword, if necessary. The first legal reference in Britain to an order for traffic to remain on the left was in 1756 with regard to London Bridge. The Highway Act 1773 contained a recommendation that horse traffic should remain on the left and this is enshrined in the Highway Act 1835.
In the late 18th century, the shift from left to right that took place in countries such as the United States was based on teamsters' use of large freight wagons pulled by several pairs of horses. The wagons had no driver's seat, so a postilion sat on the left rear horse and held his whip in his right hand. Seated on the left, the driver preferred that other wagons pass him on the left so that he could be sure to keep clear of the wheels of oncoming wagons. He did that by driving on the right side of the road.

Really Cool video - and I like the color of the 900. We don't see too many light blue metallic 900's in the USA.
FWIW: I was always under the impression that the US did the right side driving as a basic "middle finger" to George III around the time of the Revolution. It's probably something in the middle somewhere.
