Something else...anybody knows what number on TWICE need to be watched? The big numbers on top are enough (50 42 239) or the others needed as well?

I am back with a new question... somebody might know the answer...
I was told that the trionic has to be taught to the new TWICE as well. Which means to me that changing the TWICE could not be enough to start my car...
Beside that I ordered a used TWICE with paired remote so... I will see soon
Regards to everyone!!!

control immobilizer module (cim is the bridge to the rest of the electronic system for functionality).
to safe money and time for this kind of problem, the best choice......... is to go to the dealer for tech2 diagnosis; it could be only software recovery updates.
you cannot install the ATW unit (TWICE) without unmarried and married only the new one. it is required TECH2.
good luck

Thanks...
Anyway... I (hope) will receive replacement TWICE with remote soon...
The first thing I planned after start the engine is to take it straight to SAAB workshop. Closest is appr. 120 km from my town.
BUT...first I need to start somehow.

Batteries in the Theft Alarm Module are fine....
In mean time the "new" TWICE has arrived but so far no communication between. "anti-theft system activated" displayed on SID.
Central lock is working and starter running but no fuel to the engine. Maybe the two unit has to "marry" as well with Tech2?

CASE STUDY
So finally.... My pretty is running!!!
Background info:
- central lock not working
- "key not accepted" on SID
- immobilizer is ON
- Dead metal...
Solving (in my case...):
Found out with a good electrician that from 70th leg of TWICE unit ground has disappeared.
Ordered a used TWICE from Ebay (UK) which cost me about 60 USD.
Only thing what I had to look for is the right region frequency and a "big" numbers on top of TWICE.
After installation the Tech2 computer required to marry new TWICE with old Trionic otherwise no fuel to the engine. For this you need a pared key with a new TWICE and after TWICE-Trionic marriage even the old keys could be pared with new TWICE...
So... I am really happy!!! I didn't have to change the whole ignition and locks because of keys.....
Total cost was about 150 USD and everything works fine. (finger crossed...)
Thanks for everybody's help again... I will be around (not disappearing) if any help needed from my side!Last edited by Tamas Laszlo; 05 March 2011 at 13:10.
