Shaving - How many blades is too many?

Just bought an electric shaver, Phillips Norelco something. I got tired of the expensive refills for my razor. So far so good...it's not as good a shave as the multi-blade one, but it doesn't beat up my skin as much....I have a 45 days trial on the machine, hopefully it will work for me.

So, what say you? electric, disposable, refillable, or old fashion live blade, how do you shave?

Refillable Gillette Mach III. My facial hair doesn't grow very well and electric razors don't work on me.

I think it's a Gillette, it's battery operated and provides a clean shave. Since I only shave every 3 days the blades last for awhile, but they are outrageously expensive.

I just buy the cheap crap and shower before I shave, works wonders.

Of course, I use shaving cream, that's important unless you want to bleed out.

I've tried all razors from the old Atra up to the Fusion or whatever this most recent 5-blade piece of poo is

I hate them all, except my old Atra. Really wish I still had that thing, or a safety razor. Will probably go safety razor next

I've tried just about everything available (sans the really high end electric ones) and I'm happiest with the cheap disposable razors that I used whilst showering (no shaving cream). I bought a $10 mirror that suctions to the shower wall, and I'm good to go.

I've also been cutting my own hair since high school. I could probably buy 2 C900's with the money that I've saved from hair cuts and quality shaving equipment.

    No shaving cream?

I'd bleed out if I tried that. I have a couple of moles in crucial places that require care when shaving. Thats also why I can't use the cheapo disposable razors. Also use a mirror stuck to the shower wall

I shave 2-3 times a week and change blades maybe 2x per year. I don't even know what I use. 4 blade something or other I think. They're expensive.

I always shave in the bathtub or shower, very rarely at a sink. Maybe that has something to do with them lasting so long? Use Melaleuca brand shave cream for the past few years. I haven't cut myself shaving since probably 1995- if ever. Blades have always lasted me forever.

Just checked- Gillette Fusion 5 blade.

I can use shaving cream with my electric razor. I actually tried that a couple of days ago and it worked well......I need to find a way to "lubricate" my face so the machine glides better, need to check if baby oil can do the trick .

My facial hair is so light, I go out on a windy day and it's gone.
