OCI is 7.5k miles on M1 synthetic. the manual calls for a oil change every 10k

I always have the feeling my engine runs smoother after an oil change. But I think it is just the thought of having a new filter and oil.

agreed. Although, I change mine at 3k. Still cant believe the 10k recommended changes. Thats just insanity to me.

I'm having a tough time adapting to the higher milage intervals, which is why I still do mine at 7.5k; although at 3k the oil is still has that gold tint

Could be that the tappets are a tiny bit quieter after changing the oil, especially if you're changing from a thicker summer grade to a thinner winter grade or a synthetic.
Ask me a question about your c900! I promise I either can answer it or know someone who can

I haven't really noticed a difference with my 1990 c900 but the '91 c900 does seem to be a bit happier with fresh oil (less tappet noise). Both are on 5k mile OCI's. '90 has about 75,000 miles and the '91 has a bit over 231,000.
