    Disable Daytime Running Lights DRL

My dealer's position is that the DRLs cannot be disabled because they are a part of the passive safety system.

Do you know if this would be the same for my 2010 9-3?

It's different for the 9-3. DLRs need to be disabled by the dealer or other Saab garage with Tech2. You can't do it yourself, unfortunately. And as you mentioned, many dealers won't do it.

It's a service and diagnostic tool. They use it to read engine data, troubleshoot problems and change settings like the DRL. It's expensive and you need a software subscription to use it.

Too slow but you have a much more detailed answer! I split the thread and moved the 9-3 posts to a new thread in the 9-3 workshop. You could have used your supermod powers for that.

    disable 9-3 DRLs

Both dealerships in Houston, Texas will disable the DRLs for one hour of shop time... $125 for DeMontrond and $140 for Ron Carter.

According to my owners manual, all you have to do is pull fuse number 14 to disable daytime running lights.

Ya, I'd like to know that one too. Oh, wait, aadmikep has a 2000 9-3.
Fast enough to get a ticket, slow enough to get caught
