Righto. Got my advance stop mod done. Got my resistors in hand, going to tweak my spare APC tonight.
Will a 3.0 bar FPR do for most mods? I have a 2.5 bar on hand but definitely not the cash for a rising rate FPR. Can I get away with the 2.5 for now? Inquiring minds need to know!

Make sure that your APC system is functional, after the mod, by tapping the knock sensor with a heavy object (I like to use the end of a breaker bar) with the ignition on; you should hear the solenoid chatter. If that checks out, I'd imagine there would be no problem with using your 2.5bar fpr for now, 'will just see added benefit with the 3.0, when you find one.

Well done on the dizzy mod. And you thought it might be too difficult. It does make the car sharper off and at low boost. You won't have any problem with the 2.5bar fpr as drw says. The 3bar fpr only really gives you an improvement at high levels of boost where the injectors can't flow enough fuel with the standard fpr, and the APC cuts the boost back from that potentially available with more fuel. Good luck with the APC. If you know one end of the soldering iron from the other you will have no problems.

APC is done. The hardest part was finding which pots were which; they were listed as P01-P03, not F,P,K
I may have to readjust - my 1300 ohm resistor, after installing, only read 1240 and that may be too low. Not sure yet

From pictures and resistance readings. Funny that K is covered by a protective rubber boot to a: stabilize the board and b: keep people from messing with it
So I put it in and made a quick run. DAAAAAANG. Boost comes just a little quicker but more powerful and stays pretty solid through the entire range. I'm happier now!
Question though: On the vac canister, there's a hose that routes up along the windshield lip. Where is it supposed to go? Is it a purge, and is supposed to be open, or is it supposed to be connected to something

Hmm. I wonder then where it should plug in. I'm idling quite smooth, have vacuum (don't know exactly how much as I don't have a calib gauge yet) but that may explain why my cabin vent controls aren't working...

Obviously it's disconnected somewhere from the controls under the dash. The prime purpose of the cannister is to store vacuum to power the ventilation controls when the engine is not generating vacuum, such as when it's boosting. You are going to do some investigation.
