Is this gap in the window trim normal?

It's the black trim over the window but below the key fob. It is not present in the other side of the car. Normal? Or disease?

Answer: The gap is not a rare problem but is not an intended design. Others have suggested pushing the front trim backwards but it doesn't move easily.

no gap is normal in doors seals. mine have also a little gap at the end back triangle angle.
I tried to fix but no way...... a deformed plastic seal clip or a guide rail must be the issue due to so angles.

This is getting worse. I asked Saab Cars North America about it and they (their contracted representative, a firm in Texas) said that they do not believe it is a defect since nobody else has that problem. Is this accurate?

It seems that one other person here has it, as well as 4 others at another forum, Saab Central. Funny, I am very careful with my car. The part cost $171, clips to fasten it about $30, and the dealer wants about $200 for labor. Elsewhere, the parts cost should be about the same.

The gap in mine is about a good 1/2 inch in length. Driver side as well. Hmmmmmm.

Nevermind then. The place I used to work had a little rubber (kinda hard rubber) strip that went underneath the walk-in freezer door. After about a year it would be replaced because the hot-soap mix (being sprayed on the cold piece of rubber every night) would slowly make it shrink/break down. At least that was my theory, as I was the one who had to replace it every year.

just check my gap but right now with the sun and hot temperatures is adjusted to normal, no gap. I will take some pictures

It's not normal, so you can call BS to SCNA or anyone telling you otherwise.

The strip does not slide back easily, you will probably need to remove it before you can slide it back. And it will slide out of position again, too. I tried to put some glue just at the joint, but it has started to slide off position again. I will try with stronger glue next time.
I have pictures of the removal and assembly of the strip, will try to upload next week when back from holiday.
