Xenon autoleveling problems-light on then off
Headlights still work fine and everything, but occasionally I get the autoleveling fault light on the dash, and other times I can hear the lights moving up and down rapidly with no fault light. It will go days without showing the light then it will come back for a few minutes, the go off, then come back on, and so on.
Is this a sign that my sensors are going bad? Can they be rebuilt, and how much to replace?I don't drive fast...I fly slow

Still having this issue. The lights are acting very strange. They will adjust as high as they will go, then as low as they will go. I did a bit of research and found that the wrong bulbs can cause early failure of the sensors and that the correct bulbs are Phillips Xenstart with "141" in the serial number. And those are the bulbs I have. I also read that sometimes cleaning the sensors can fix the problem. I just need to know where they are located on each axle and how to remove them.
Here is a video of the problem I am having:

Information for removal/fitting of the load angle sensors added here:

My 2006 had some irregular behavior like that before where they would frequently adjust themselves. I never found what the problem was and it just went away after a while.

Thanks! Are those on the passenger side?
Also, mine seem to fail in the morning in the cold, but work fine when it's warm in the afternoon. ? lolI don't drive fast...I fly slow

I think it may be time for new bulbs soon. Mine did something similar before eventually just dying altogether. Popped in new bulbs and they work like new. You can always test this if you have a friend with a similar car with xenons.

The bulbs are only about a year old. (Phillips Xenstart series 141 4300k D1S) I'm going to take a look at the sensors today while I've got it in our shop anyway. Just to make sure all the little plastic connectors are there and not broken. (but sort of hoping they are since they only cost $5 )
