    Great photography!

Is that the 50mm pancake lens and did you take those pictures with that lens? I liked the range of my zoom lens but max aperture of 1:3.5 was not the best for low light and blurring backgrounds.

The problem I am running into is that I am taking a lot of pictures and the real work starts with sorting, choosing the best shots, adjusting in photo editing software and uploading to a photo sharing site.

Just a few more samples taken with the T4i.

Pictures taken with my 8 year old point-and-shoot so not the best image quality.

Yeah, its the 50mm 1.8 prime. All of those were taken with it. It's my favorite lens by far, and for $90, it's a lens that everyone needs in their collection. And yes, taking the pictures is the easy part. haha I'll go to a meet or show and it's easy for me to shoot 500 pictures in an afternoon. It takes an hour just choosing the best shots. haha

I am really liking my Sony NEX-6 I bought earlier this summer. It's nice to have a good quality camera that's small and light. Pretty good kit lens as well and really like the wide angle.

    Some pictures from last weekend.

It's not a real macro lens but takes some nice close-up pictures.

I bought an inexpensive light tent with two 5500K lights to play around with product photography. It requires some playing around with manual camera mode, positioning of lights, different kinds of backgrounds but it's fun to do. The standard 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 lens on my NEX-6is not the best for this kind of photography but images turn out pretty good after some processing in Aperture.

Beautiful pictures! Looks nice and warm and relaxing there.

A bit different here in Nova Scotia. This is a picture I took last weekend, fall has settled in cold, windy and wet:

I'm digging the decision to go black and white, Aeronaut. It really paints the picture of the miserable weather that set in.

This picture is terrible. How should I improve on it? Maybe take during the daytime when there's better light?Name: 20181230_235007.jpg
