Just spent a week over in Bangkok… awesome fun! Didn't take my usual DSLR and L lenses this holiday, but used the great little P&S Canon S95. Produces a pretty good shot considering!

The train going over the produce is crazy! I guess they know from experience the train won't hit them. Or is the train stationary? I missed a trip to Thailand years ago, kick myself in the butt everytime I think of it!

Yeah the train is pretty crazy! It comes through the market 8 times a day… all the stall holders know of its approach is the whistle. Then it is a big clamour as they pull back the awnings and move their wares. It moves through at walking pace and pretty darn close as you can tell by the pics! Love Thailand… awesome place. Great food and cheap drinks

Very crazy indeed and interesting pictures to look at. My only experience with Thailand are the restaurants in the US but I wonder if that's even close to authentic Thai food. I really need to visit Asia some day soon..

My last SLR camera was a Minolta 5000 film camera I had about 20 years ago. After a few P&S cameras, I decided it was time for another SLR and recently bought a Canon T4i with the kit 18-55mm and 55-250mm lenses. I have to get used again to aperture and depth-of-field again and need to carry a tripod more often.

I also want to upgrade from Apple iPhoto to either Aperture or Adobe Lightroom. Any tips on which software to choose would be greatly appreciated. I downloaded the trial version of Lightroom and played around with it. So far so good.

Some pictures from earlier this week near Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario. Just being at the right place at the right time.

I bought a Canon Rebel T4i a year ago and am happy with the picture quality and camera features. However, it is quite heavy and large with a 28-135mm lens to carry around so I recently sold it. I am now looking at a mirrorless system camera which is supposed to have the image quality and camera control of a DSLR but much smaller and lighter.

A little while back, I started getting into photography a bit more. I picked up a Canon T4i, and some accessories for it and have been really enjoying it.

Been shooting a lot friends' cars and at car shows to get better. I love it and I'm slowly getting better at editing.
