I'm not familiar with the 9000, but I came across this photo of a 9000 with an AC delete... does this show any bolts you might be looking to spot?

    Yes it helps. Thank You

You can see the o2 lead strapped to the water pipe. Can not tell from the pic how to release the clamps. Looking down from the top is impossible and I really hate the idea of removing the mud wall to do this. Could kick myself as I had it out a year ago to replace the idler and tensioner assembly.

I was able to remove the old o2 sensor the metal clips pop off. The o2 lead runs behind the tensioner assembly and I could not get the plug through so I had to cut it. I re routed the new lead along the AC hose and up to the Aquarium where it meets it's mating connector. I believe this was the original sensor and the car has 190K.

Also changed the plugs which looked pretty good, but about 1/3rd of the electrode has worn away. May also be original.

The car runs much better now. and I have 100 miles with no CEL.

Still has a rough spot near closed throttle?

Happen to see any cracked vacuum lines when you were in there?

Did not really examine them, but I guess the could all use replacing.
The info display is being quite optimistic about MPG and remaining miles left in the tank which may also indicate a vacuum leak

Going to seek out a silicone set

Eeuroparts has some vacuum hose, but I'm not sure if it's silicone
eEuroparts - Vacuum hose (5/32) (per foot) - # VCH

GenuineSaab has some, but a little more expensive, but it's silicone and comes in three different color choices...

I agree with replacing the vaccum lines. Also, give the throttle body a nice cleaning. They have a tendancy to get pretty gummed up and the throttle plate may be getting stuck when its trying to close.

A Bad DIC and fouled plugs will cause a false o2 reading which is just the o2 doing it's job - ensure that the plugs and DIC are working properly and check for vac leaks as indicated above. If all seems fine an o2 could be the problem.

Rachel came home for the weekend and I took a look at the vacuum lines. They are already all silicone? They all fit loose on their fittings. The small hose coming off of the valve cover had a small crack in it. I did a lot of work on this car and spent quite a bit of time laying on the motor reaching behind so I figure I damaged it. I shortened the line and put wire ties at all the fittings. The low speed hesitation is gone and the off throttle response is much improved. I will clean the TB on her next stop home.

Noticed the front suspension including the struts could use a replace along with brakes and rotors.

This car is really fast. It does have a 3" JT DP and a 3" race cat with 2.5" custom from the cat back. I bought that system a while back as it was cheaper than SAAB or Walker.
