Yea, just the internal pickup. Then you have to integrate it into the housing. I did that when I initially installed Trionic. The new sensor failed in 20K miles.

To be honest I really did not want to lay under the car to remove the pulley, and I already ditched AC, and wanted a new toy!

You may like 5.2 it feels more primitive that 5.5

Oh that sucks! Well hope mine lasts.

How did you tell it was faulty.

Yeah dunno if I'll like 5.2. It will be interesting to see. If I don't I'll make a 5.5 setup that allows me to keep ac.

I like the seamless way on which 5.5 works. Why do you think it's primitive ?

5.2 gang fires the plugs and has a less sophisticated firmware set. IT feels more like a carburetor or LH injection then 5.5 which feels very similar to my 2017 Chevy Malibu Ecotec motor.
It's funny that Ford and Chevy have embraced turbo, inter cooled small displacement computer controlled motors 20 some years after SAAB released Trionic.

The CPS was acting up when hot, car bucked a bit. It died hard when my wife was driving, coasted to a stop, flat bed back home. Plugged in the laptop and no CPS signa. confirming my suspicion of no tach movement.

Its pricey but the EEUro solution is probably the best. If I were going to restore the AC I would have gone that route, this car is titled antique and we do nott drive it much.

Nah I already built a crank trigger that lets you keep ac for another guy when I converted his car.

Disappointing about 5.2. If I find it sucks I will go back to 5.5!

What do you mean less sophisticated firmware. I'll have to look at the maps.

    Did you tune yourself ?

Yes, the firmware is 1/2 the size with less features. I started with a bin from a 93 9000 turned off TCS and started from there.
5.2 is not full sequential injection.

    Yeah I figured as much.
Obd2 t5.5 has so many tiny features that make it nice. Can't get boost control to work properly with obd2 flashes though.

    T5.5 running like a champ!
Rounding up some improved exterior parts in anticipation of a spring paint job. NOS rear bumper, much better front bumper, New front indicator covers, better rear indicator covers, so far.
