    2000 9-3 Factory Stereo/iPod

My factory stereo no longer plays CDs, again. I'd rather listen to XM or Rhapsody through my iPhone. Since I drive a convertible, I don't want to upgrade the headunit for fear of slash and grab.

Does anyone know a way to get high quality iPod sound into the factory system (not modulation). Without changing the look of the dashboard?

I remember seeing a way to hook it up so you can use your iPod through your stereo... song titles and such display on the regular stereo display... let me see if I can find it again.

Best I could find in a quick search... I'm sure I'll find more.

Looks like most people that have used that though (their AudioTroll/Trollpod hook-up) say it was flawed. The company shut down, but now they are selling non-integrated hook ups. Might be worth a call/email to them.

    Thanks
I messages him through his site. I dont care about the metadata, just good sound. Looks like a very part time endeavor though.

Someone feel free to correct me... but I remember some people using the CD changer input with some sort of adapter. I can't find that either though.

This is what I found... but it's for the NG900 which uses a Clarion headunit... not sure what came int he OG9-3's, but worth a quick read if you'd like.

Great idea. Mine is a Clarion so if there's a kit that takes advantage I'm all over it. I've googled it but coming up dry so far.

I believe this is the guy that sells the AudioTroll/Trollpod... which he no longer makes/sells. But apparently he is making a "lite" version (which is what I was thinking about... it uses the bus/CD changer plug), and according to this thread, he'll be making some more next week (it's the guy at the website you contacted).

I posted and messages him. Hope he responds. It sounds like his solution may lockup the unit on occasion. But hey, it's 90% there.

Well, no reply. I guess I need to find another option.
