    Thoughts on our next car?

So with the new situation looming overhead and the household income making a drastic leap, we are in the market for something else. She needs a car, and we could definitely use something to tool around in when the 900 takes its regular dumps (work in progress, wot), There are currently two cars on my mind, both of which we've found for pretty decent prices:

    Contender 1: 2005 Mazda MazdaSpeed MX-5
70k on the odo, titanium gray, 6MT, Turbo 1.8 (178 hp), sub-7 second 0-60, could pull 30+ MPG if we stayed off the turbo and whatnot. Owned by an older gent, taken care of, looks beautiful

Contender 2: 2001 Mustang Bullitt GT
Classic understated V6 styling with GT underpinnings. Factory lowered, 265-275 hp(depends on who you talk to), 5MT, tuned exhaust, Brembo brakes, other exterior/interior upgrades etc etc etc. Also the most beautiful color, Highland Green. 0-60 in 5.3, may get 26-27 mpg if we're REALLY nice to it

What do you guys think? She's really set on the MX-5, and they are both beautiful and rare (the MX-5 moreso) cars. I kinda lean more towards the Bullitt myself because gadang the best car I've ever borrowed and on my list of cars to own

    A NEW CONTENDER ARRIVES!

How about a 2000 Saab 9-3 Viggen convertible in blue? I know the previous owner and how meticulously this car was maintained. 110k miles, a couple small dings for 8000

I can't modify the poll to add this but it's now tied for #1 with the Bullitt. We've pretty much decided against the MazdaSpeed as it's a lot more money and actually is rated for worse fuel economy than the Bullitt. So it's down to the Bullitt or the Viggen

    GO

I'd get the Viggen... never really been a fan of that body style Mustang.

I'm really leaning towards the Viggen too (it helps knowing the history of the car) but that little musclehead in the back of my mind keeps chanting Bullitt! Bullitt!

We're going to go take a look at the Viggen tonight. No need to drive it yet (I already have, a couple months ago) but it's going to be her car primarily so we need to make sure she's comfortable in it, and comfortable with the torque steer. She got to hear the Bullitt earlier today and she fell in love with that aspect

Also thanks Wulf for throwing that in for me!
